At the end of September, we hosted our annual cluster picnic event in Kardosfa. The event started with a mushroom tour in the forest near Zselicpark Csillagvizsgáló, guided by the mushroom expert Tibor Vrancsik.We learned, in other words, that hallucinogenic mushrooms are considered toxic even though they are not lethal. Additionally, among non-toxic mushrooms, there are some that are edible, but you definitely wouldn’t want to eat them.
During our next program, we received a brief introduction at the Observatory building about the Star Park. It is located in the heart of the Zselici Landscape Protection Area and earned the title of International Star Park in 2009 for its minimal light pollution. The film screening at the Planetarium was a truly memorable experience for the attendees.
